TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR ELECTRONIC POSTERS
Abstracts that are accepted as posters will have to be displayed as electronic posters during World Veterinary Poultry Congress 2015. There will be no provision for traditional hard copy posters.
Presentation to be generated using PowerPoint software package.
Windows 8 operating System, Office 2010 will be used.
The poster presentation can be done using Office PowerPoint 2013, 2010 and 2007.
The presentation needs to be done in LANDSCAPE. The screens being used to display the DDD’s, are 32 inch touch screens. The screens will be setup in a LANDSCAPE format.
A maximum of 5 PowerPoint slides will be allowed.
No PDF presentations will be allowed.
The system is unable to process any animated slides.
The DDD’s will be displayed on screens in such a way that delegates of the congress can stand in front of a screen and browse through the DDD presentations at own leisure.
The e-mail address of at least one of the authors’ must appear on the poster.
Posters will be published electronically, in PDF-format, together with the proceedings. Your poster needs to be accompanied by the Poster Consent Form. Please send the poster in PowerPoint; it will be converted to PDF by the technical team before publication.
Deadline for poster submission is 15 July 2015. Posters that reach us after this date will unfortunately not be included. Remember to include the poster consent form with your poster submission. Please submit your poster electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org
GUIDELINES FOR ORAL PRESENTATIONS
The time allocated for a presentation is 12 minutes, with a further 3 minutes allowed for questions/discussion.
The total duration of an oral session is thus 15 minutes.
Speaker Ready Room:
The location of the Speaker Ready Room will be clearly indicated in the venue.
All speakers must check in at the Speaker Ready Room preferably the day before your session to preview your presentation.
If you are checking in on the day of your session, please arrive at least 4 hours prior to the start of your session.
Technicians will assist with the upload of your files and provide the opportunity to preview and/or edit the presentation as necessary. Even if you are unavoidably delayed, you still have to go directly to the Speaker Ready Room.
You are advised to bring your presentation on a flash disc to facilitate the speedy uploading of your presentation.
Do not bring a laptop or other media device directly to the session room (auditorium) to use in your presentation.
